Book revamp

Hi everybody,

I hope you are enjoying the mild weekend!

I had fun with this book upcycle project. Months ago I bought a bunch of hard cover books from the thrift store.

This one is "The Lake House" by Kate Morton. I had some decoupage paper and played around with WoodUbend mouldings until I was happy with how the image was framed. All of the mouldings were modified but I love the end result.

I had a bunch of "oops" paint samples and mixed them throughout to get the desired effect. I also used an IOD mould for the spine. A little Annie Sloan copper gilding wax highlighted the raised areas.

After opening the book back up, I realized I put everything on upside down! Oh well, it's decor and nobody will know 😬.

See you soon with another neat upcycled project!

Donna
